About
Built in Accra for the rest of Africa
Most file-sharing tools assume you're in San Francisco with unlimited fibre and a Visa card. We assumed you're in Lagos, Nairobi or Kumasi — on a phone, on data, with mobile money.
BigSend started as an internal tool for a small studio that was tired of WhatsApp compressing wedding photos and WeTransfer asking for $19/month in dollars. We needed something secure, local-payment-friendly and brand-controlled.
What we believe
- Mobile-first isn't a slogan. 90% of our users open a link on their phone. Every page has to feel native there first.
- WhatsApp is the inbox. If a flow can't fit into one WhatsApp message, it's broken.
- Mobile money is real money. MoMo, Vodafone Cash and AirtelTigo are first-class — not "alternative" payment methods.
- Security has to be invisible. A pastor shouldn't need a security degree to share Sunday's sermon.
